WHAT WE DO

Good Landscape Architecture should seek to understand not only how we use space but why we do so and what the external environment means to us, now and in the future. Landscape Architecture is a tool and an approach. PLAN offer the project managerial skills to deliver complex schemes and the tools required to communicate ideas successfully, from design inception to technical problem solving and completion of projects on site.

Services we provide;

  • Landscape Architecture

  • Urban Design and Masterplanning

  • Garden Design

  • Community Engagement

  • Detailed Planning Applications

  • Detailed Hard and Soft Landscape Design

  • Construction information through to completion on site

  • Landscape Management Plans + Maintenance Schedules

  • Historic Landscape Restoration

Resourcing

We are a small practice which allows us to provide our clients with a personal approach on all projects. We also have a network of highly qualified designers, artists, technicians and specialist consultants who can support on projects when required. We have established relationships with suppliers of high quality materials, specialist consultants and constructions services.

Collaboration

We strongly believe collaboration is the key to project success from early concept stages through to completion on site. Our drawing standards and file naming systems are based on industry standards to ease collaborative working. We constantly review our in-house standards to keep up-to-date with the latest technological advancements, British Standards and industry developments.

OUR APPROACH

In our experience the best way to keep a project on track and heading in the right direction is to ask some fundamental questions right at the beginning of the design process and remember to revisit them throughout the course of the project...

'THE VISION'

1/

WHAT DO WE WANT TO ACHIEVE?

A clear and well defined brief where key considerations have been discussed and all are working to a common goal. This should be carried forward and reviewed at all stages of the project

Having the team take the time to discuss the aspirations of the project at an early stage prior to design and agree on a consensus of collaboration

New developments should always enhance the areas in which they sit. To create a successful place we must first fully understand the issues of the site, its locale and its wider context.
