Landscape proposals look to give students reasons to spend more time outside, have a sense of belonging to a place and provide an enriching outdoor living space. The rooftop gardens provide space for informal games and fitness such as movable table tennis or yoga, seating under trees, and tables for dining or study.

Tree planting creates a series of intimate spaces nestled in the shelter of the building and tree canopy will be visible from all levels providing sense of immersion in nature.

The first floor communal garden is accessed and overlooked from the main internal social space and therefore provides a valuable, green view from the busy indoor facilities. Access and views to green space is essential for health and wellbeing and the garden will provide students a place of rest, play and create distance from the work environment.
