PLAN were appointed to design a family garden for a home in Herefordshire which takes a fresh approach to the house environs and looks to create a coherent and consistent character, in hard materials, furniture and planting. New limestone flags and setts will replace areas of piecemeal paving in poor condition and new, vibrant planting will frame key views, create structure and enliven the external living spaces. Limestone was chosen to help unify the range of finishes used to build the house and also to show-off the lush greens and varied textures of the planting palette. Enhancements to the wider grounds focused on simple measures to improve biodiversity and increase valuable habitat.
