PLAN were appointed to design the landscape for the new Keystone Building at the NMITE Blackfriars campus, Hereford City Centre. The site sits within a conservation area and near the ancient scheduled monument of Blackfriars Friary.

The scheme integrates a modern building into a historically rich setting. The design seeks to create continuity between past, present and future, with a nod to the Friary. A new cloistered courtyard garden creates an enriching space for students and visitors while new tree planting enhances the surrounding streetscape. Water, medicinal planting, local materials, soil improvement and new habitat all contribute to an exciting project.
