PLAN:design is a young and creative design consultancy of experienced Landscape Architects. We are chartered members of the Landscape Institute and Pre-Registered Members of the Society of Garden Designers, offering Landscape Architecture, Urban Design and Garden Design.

With a background in fine art and neuroscience PLAN:design offers a broad design perspective, approaching each site holistically to ensure every scheme is bespoke and befitting of its time, place and the people who use it. Research is key to understanding the unique complexities of every site, from the history, ecology, local context and character, to the varying roles and interactions of the communities who live locally and those who might populate the space in the future.

We recognise the importance of protecting and enhancing our natural environment, especially during an era of rapid urban development. We also appreciate the importance of our connection with the natural world and its positive affect on our health and wellbeing and it is our mission to ensure we reconnect people with nature through the art of landscape.

PLAN stands for the four core elements that inspire and influence us as designers and defines what we strive to protect, conserve and enhance as practicing Landscape Architects;

People : Landscape : Art : Nature

Holly and Jack established PLAN:design in 2018 with 10 year’s industry experience. They met studying Landscape Architecture at the University of Gloucestershire in 2008, they have worked together at award winning practices in London and Gloucestershire and they have extensive and varied project experience in both the UK and abroad.

Good Landscape Architecture should seek to understand not only how we use space but why we do so and what the external environment means to us, now and in the future. Landscape Architecture is a tool and an approach.

PLAN:design offer the project managerial skills to deliver complex schemes and the tools required to communicate ideas successfully, from design inception to technical problem solving and completion of projects on site.

We have experience of working on projects at varying scales from small private gardens to large scale masterplanning.

Our experience includes; garden design, residential development, public realm, primary and secondary schools, universities, visitor centres, resorts, work place, healthcare and masterplanning.
